Vocational schools, where applied education stands out, are the most important step in raising intermediate-level individuals who will shoulder the change of the world. For this reason, our Vocational School, which is one of the first schools of our university, has been training qualified technicians mainly in the field of health since its opening.
In the next academic term of 2022-2023, we will train our students who choose our Vocational School within the scope of 20 programs in formal education and 11 programs in secondary education, which accept students under 8 ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education) Departments. In addition to basic knowledge in a qualified education, being open to development and to comprehend how this knowledge can be kept sustainable; It is among the primary expectations in terms of the individuals trained and the institutions where these individuals will work. At this point, in terms of the needs of both our internal and external stakeholders, the academic structure and curriculum of all departments with a sustainable design as Vocational School management has been structured as departments that will meet the intermediate staff needs of our country and train highly qualified people.
The most important pillar of this structuring consists of our academicians with a significant number and quality and our hospitals that already belong to our institution. In this academic term, our preparations will be completed for all our students who want to join the working life early, and with the Biruni University Hospital, which will be put into service in its new building in Topkapı Campus, Dental Hospital and Küçükçekmece, it will continue on its way with constant change and renewal. All curricula prepared with the appropriate suggestions of our current students, graduates and external stakeholders and the requirements of science are checked before each academic year and updated if necessary. At this stage of their education, after learning the theoretical background of current knowledge from academics who are qualified in science, it is ensured that they transform their application skills into observation and action in correct and appropriately structured application areas.
Biruni Educational Strategies, which have made us different in education and training and clinched our academic success in recent years, are also welcomed by our students and attracted by all our students. Among these strategies, it is also among our important achievements to bring students to various business and education fields (ALES and KPSS preparation) and undergraduate departments with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), especially after graduation, which was planned directly for Vocational School students, now including the whole university.
Basically, with our lessons and practices, we work so that our students can grow up to be versatile, catch the day and the future, aware of everything and at the same time be included in our changing country and the world with high standards. Our main goal is to provide the youth of the world and our country with the professional knowledge and skills that will illuminate the future in all areas we plan, and to make this sustainable.
With the hope that this goal will be a natural result, the aim of everyone who serves and receives education in this institution is that our graduates, whom we have trained in various fields of health and technology, are sought after in the sector and serve people and humanity.
